LitheraRP Host EULA
This End User License Agreement (“EULA”) covers the right to host a LitheraRP community server. By starting a server that loads the LitheraRP gamemode, you (“Host”) agree to this EULA.
This EULA does not cover Players connecting to your server. Player conduct is governed by the rules you publish in configs/rules.json, by the Lithera Studio Terms of Use shown to Players in game, and by the s&box Terms of Service.
1. Definitions
- Lithera Studio, we, us, our: the team that develops and publishes the LitheraRP gamemode.
- Gamemode: the LitheraRP package published on the s&box workshop and all code, assets, and configs shipped with it.
- Host, you, your: the person or organization running an s&box dedicated server that loads the Gamemode.
- Community Server: any s&box dedicated server you run that loads the Gamemode, other than servers operated by Lithera Studio itself.
- Player: any user connecting to your Community Server.
- s&box ToS: the Facepunch s&box Terms of Service, available at sbox.game.
2. License grant
Subject to your compliance with this EULA, we grant you a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to run the Gamemode on Community Servers and to customize it within the limits set out below.
3. What you may modify
You may freely:
- Edit any
configs/*.jsonfile shipped with the Gamemode. - Create custom themes under
configs/themes/(token mode, or advanced mode with sanitized SCSS). - Create custom localization packs under
Data/Localization/. - Once the SDK opens, write custom addons under the terms communicated in the
#sdkchannel on the LitheraRP Discord.
These customizations are encouraged. They are how the Gamemode is meant to be used.
4. What you may not do
You may not:
- Decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer the Gamemode.
- Redistribute, sublicense, sell, lease, or publish the Gamemode or any part of its code or assets.
- Circumvent the sanitizer applied to advanced theme SCSS or any other protective mechanism.
- Use the Gamemode in any way that violates the s&box ToS, applicable law, or this EULA.
5. Monetization
You may monetize your Community Server within the boundaries below.
Allowed
- Cosmetic items: skins, badges, HUD color schemes, and other visual-only items that grant no gameplay advantage.
- Premium ranks and VIP perks that do not affect gameplay (Discord roles, in-game tags, priority queue slots).
- Paid priority queue. A VIP queue is fine, provided the server is not entirely closed to non-paying Players.
- Roleplay-serious whitelists: curated access based on application review, not behind a paid subscription.
- Free-form donations to support the server.
Prohibited
- Anything Facepunch prohibits under the s&box ToS. Read it. We will not duplicate it here.
- Selling gameplay outcomes: in-game money, salaries, weapons, ammunition, kevlar, lockpicks, drug yields, ATM rewards, election votes, mayor influence, or any other gameplay state that gives a paying Player an edge over a non-paying Player.
We do not define “free access” rigidly. We will judge in good faith whether a server respects the spirit of the rule above. If you are unsure, ask in the LitheraRP Discord before launching the offer.
6. Intellectual property
We retain all right, title, and interest in the Gamemode, including its code, assets, branding, and documentation. Nothing in this EULA transfers ownership of the Gamemode to you.
You retain ownership of the configurations, themes, and localization packs you create. You grant Lithera Studio a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, copy, modify, and distribute those creations, including the right to feature them publicly (for example, as demo themes or sample translation packs). We will credit the original author when we ship community work in the official package.
7. Brand and attribution
You may refer to the Gamemode by its name (“LitheraRP”, “Lithera RP”) to factually describe your server, and you may display a “Powered by LitheraRP” badge or link.
You may not:
- Use the LitheraRP name, logo, or other Lithera Studio marks in a way that implies endorsement, partnership, or official status without our prior written permission.
- Sell merchandise, services, or content branded with the LitheraRP marks without our prior written permission.
8. Your responsibilities as a Host
- You will moderate your Community Server on a best-effort basis, including responding to reports of harassment, hate speech, and exploit abuse.
- You will comply with the s&box ToS and with all laws applicable to your jurisdiction.
- You are solely responsible for any personal data your server collects from Players (SteamIDs, in-game state, logs, chat history). This includes meeting any obligations under the GDPR, the CCPA, or any other applicable data protection law. Lithera Studio is not a controller or processor for your Community Server data.
- You will publish your server rules through
configs/rules.jsonand keep them consistent with this EULA and the s&box ToS.
9. Service provided “AS IS”
The Gamemode is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Lithera Studio does not guarantee uptime, workshop availability, save compatibility across versions, or the absence of bugs. Lithera Studio is not liable for any downtime, data loss, lost revenue, or other damages arising from your use of the Gamemode.
10. Changes to this EULA
We may modify this EULA at any time. Material changes will be announced in the LitheraRP Discord and reflected in the changelog at the bottom of this page. Your continued operation of a Community Server after a change takes effect counts as acceptance of the updated EULA.
11. Termination
You may stop hosting your Community Server at any time, for any reason, with no further obligation to us.
We may suspend your right to host a Community Server, in whole or in part, at our sole discretion, if we believe you have violated this EULA or the s&box ToS. Re-admission after a suspension is at our exclusive discretion.
Suspension or termination does not relieve you of obligations that survive by their nature, including Sections 4 (Prohibited use), 6 (Intellectual property), 9 (AS IS), and 12 (General).
12. General
- Entire agreement. This EULA, together with the s&box ToS, is the entire agreement between you and Lithera Studio regarding hosting a Community Server, and supersedes any prior discussion on the topic, including Discord exchanges.
- Severability. If any provision of this EULA is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
- Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights under this EULA. We may assign our rights and obligations under this EULA to a successor or affiliate.
- Force majeure. Neither party is liable for failure to perform caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, outages of upstream services such as Steam or s&box, or government action.
